19 Days The Silk Road Tour From Uzbekistan To Turkmenistan


These two countries have old history and very strong relations which have started from ancient time up to our days. Our tour starts in Uzbekistan , we will follow the road of caravans by visiting the most important silk road cities Fergana, Samarkand , Bukhara, Khiva, Koniya Urgench, Old Nisa, Merv

Day 1, Tashkent

Morning arrival to Tashkent airport. Transportation to Hotel. Time to leisure. Excursion in Tashkent. After Lunch
Visiting: Fine Art Museum, Kukeldash Mosque, Hasti Imam complex, Minor Mosque (Ak Machit),
Overnight in Tashkent

Day 2, Tashkent-Khiva

Visiting; Khudoyor Khan Palace, Jami Mosque, Kamol Kazi Madrassah, Norbud Bei Madrassah,
Overnight in Fergana

Day 3, Fergana – Margilan

Depart Fergana yearly in a morning, drive to Margilan (40 km.).
Visit: Said Ahmad Hodja Madrassa, Yodgorlik Silk Factory and private workshops of Ikat fabric.

Day 4, Margilan – Reshtan – Ok Yer – Tashkent

Transportation by sedan car 330km. 4- 5 hr. Visiting; famous ceramic workshop of Rustam Usmanov, house of craftsman Bahrom aka to see Kyrgyz family manufacturing wool carpets.

Day 5, Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva

Departure at 08:10 from Tashkent and arriving at 09:05 to Urgench. Transportation to Khiva 28km. Sightseeing program; Ichan-Kala (12-19 centuries, Kunya Arc Fortress, Pahlavan Mahmud Complex , stone country-estate -Tash-Khowli Palace , Kalta-Minor Minaret, Islam Khoja Complex. Continue city tour, Visit Juma Mosque and Minaret, Minaret and Mosque of Khodja-Islam, Tim of Ala-Kulikhan,
Abdulla-Khan Madrassah, Seyyid Allauddin Mausoleum, Madrassah of Muhamad Amin-Khan , Madrassah of Muhamad Rakhim-Khan, Nurullbay Palace.

Day 6, Khiva – Elik Kala

Depart Khiva, drive to Ellik Kala (170 km. , 2.30 hr.) Visit the ancient fortress of Khorezm: Toprak Kala (“Clay castle”),the residence of Khwarazm Shahs dating back to the 1st- 5th centuries A.D.
20 km north east from Toprak Kala another one fortress Ayaz Kala (“Ice Castle”) is situated.
The fortress is associated with romantic legend about a young man Ayaz who built a fortress to win the heart of the princess.
Overnight in the yurt camp at Ayaz Kala.

Day 7, Ayaz Kala – Dashoguz ( Turkmenistan)

Early in the morning depart Ayaz Kala, drive to the border Shavat at Khojaili block-post ( 70 km. ). Transportation to Dashaguz. Excursion at Koniya Urgench Visiting: Mausoleums of Turebek Khanym, Sultan Tekesh, Sultan Il Arslan and Kutlug Timur minaret, Kyrk Molla. Afternoon Transportation to Dashaguz and evening flight to Ashgabat
Overnight at the hotel in Ashgabad.

Day 8, Ashgabat

City tour program; Ertogrul Gazy Mosque, Independence Park, Neutrality Arch, National Museum of History.
Overnight at the hotel in Ashgabat.

Day 9, Ashgabad

Drive to Suburb of Ashgabad 40km. Ruins of Nissa (UNESCO World Heritage site) and Turkmenbashi Mosque Mousoleum ,

Overnight at the hotel in Ashgabad.

Day 10, Ashgabad – Darwaza Ashgabad

Half day of city tour, including visits to Anau mosque ruins, Ahalteke horse stables. Transportation to Darwaza gas crater in Karakum desert, visit Erbent desert community on the way. BBQ dinner.
Overnight in tent camp at Crater.

Day 11. Darwaza – Ashgabad – Turkmenbashi

Return to Ashgabat. Visit Carpet Museum in Ashgabad and Flight to Turkmenbashi. Full day at leisure at Caspian Sea.
Overnight at the hotel in Turkmenbashi.

Day 12. Turkmenbashi – Yangikala – Turkmenbashi – Ashgabat

Early departure for a day trip to Yangikala Canyons via Balkan Mountains. Picnic lunch box in canyons. Return to Turkmenbashi. Optional ; Stay at hotel and enjoy with Caspian sea. Evening flight to Ashgabat.

Day 13. Ashgabat – Mary

Morning flight to Mary (ETD 0800h ETA 0840h).
Excursion to Ancient Merv UNESCO World Heritage Site. includes: Gyz Gala & Oglan Gala VI-VII century, 
Complex of Askhabs VII-XIV AC, Giaur Gala IV BC, Beni Makhan Mosque – 
first Mosque build in Central Asia VII, Erk Gala VI BC, Soltan Gala XI AC, Soltan Sanjar Mausoleum XII AC, Ibn Zeid Masoleum XII. Return to Mary. Visit the History museum of Merv region.
Overnight in Mary

Day 14. Mary – Turkmenabad – Block Post Farab Bukhara

Morning Transportation to the border of Turkmenabad. Arrival at BP of Farab. Cross the border. Transportation to Bukhara 78 km. 1hr. After Lunch Evening excursion; Lyabi Khause ensemble.
Overnight in Bukhara

Day 15. Bukhara

Our sightseeing program will start form visiting the magnificent Mausoleum of Ismail Samani , Mausoleum Holy Chashma Ayub (Job’s well) , the 16th century Kosh Madrassah.
Bolo Hauz Mosque, Arc Fortress. Poi-Kalon, Madrassah Miri-Arab Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan, the 12th century Zoroastrian Magoki-Attori Mosque, Kukeldash Madrassa, Nodir Divan-begi Madrassah and Khanaka.
Overnight in Bukhara

Day 17. Buklhara – Samarkand

Transportation by regular train to Samarkand 300km. 3,5hr. Departure time at 08:40 in a morning, Arrival at 11:45 to Samarkand. After Lunch visiting; Gur Emir, Registan square, Bibi-Khanim Mosque.
Overnight in Samarkand

Day 18. Samarkand

Hazrat Daud cave, Mausoleum of Khodja Abdi Darunee, Mausoleum of Imam Al Moturidi.
Overnight in Samarkand

Day 19. Samarkand – Tashkent

Free Time in Samarkand and Transportation to Tashkent at 17:00. Arriving at 19:10. Afrosiyab Fast Train 300 km 2,10 minutes. After dinner Transportation to International Airport.
